Wang Lequan Hopes That The State Will Increase Support For The Acquisition Of Xinjiang Cotton.
On the evening of July 17th, Wang Lequan, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Secretary of the Party committee of the autonomous region, met with the party secretary of the China national supply and marketing cooperation general association and the director of the Council of the Council, Li Chengyu.
Wang Lequan expressed thanks to the China Federation of supply and marketing cooperatives for their long support for Xinjiang.
He said that as one of the main cotton producing areas in Xinjiang, the cotton sales in the whole region were slow due to the lack of state specific policy support due to the fact that the cost of cotton was higher than the selling price.
At present, new cotton picking is coming. In the face of the increase in cotton production costs and the upside down pressure of cotton purchase and sale this year, we hope that the state can introduce relevant measures as soon as possible, and increase policy support for Xinjiang's cotton purchase.
He said that the autonomous region will make every effort to solve the problem of county level supply and marketing cooperatives in budgetary issues.
Li Chengyu expressed his gratitude to the Party committee and government of the autonomous region for their concern and support for Xinjiang's supply and marketing cooperative system.
He said he would report to the relevant departments of the State Council on the issues of pportation, loan and purchase price in the purchase and sale of cotton in Xinjiang, and strive for relevant policy support at an early date.
The leaders of the autonomous region and the regiment led Nur, Bai Li, Nie Weiguo, Song Airong, Bai Zhijie, Hua Shifei, Hu Wei, Yu Su Tung and vice chairman of the China Cotton Association Shi Jianwei and Secretary General Ni were present at the meeting.
